MathLabs

Available in Summer/Fall 2024

MathLabs are an excellent resource for anyone looking to learn or deepen their understanding of mathematics. These hands-on activities provide a fun and engaging way to explore various mathematical concepts.

One of the great advantages of MathLabs is that they offer a step-by-step guide to completing mathematical tasks. This means that students can work at their own pace and gradually build their skills and knowledge. Furthermore, MathLabs often include real-world examples and applications, which help students see the relevance of the mathematics they are studying.

Another benefit of MathLabs is that they encourage students to think creatively and critically. By working through problems and puzzles, students develop problem-solving skills and learn to think logically. This kind of thinking is not only valuable for mathematics but also for many other areas of life.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my child needs help?

If your student dreads having to do math or science work, there’s a good chance they need a change, and we can help uncover what that might look like for them.

Should we do a math package or just one-on-one sessions?

You should choose one-on-one sessions if you have a good idea of specific activities or assignments you’d like your child to master. If you know the topic they need help with, we can design a full package to support their learning in that area.

What is mathematical reasoning?

For more information about this educational perspective, we recommend researching Pam Weber Harris: her publications and her Math is Figure-Out-Able efforts.

Do you offer monthly or bi-weekly services?

Yes, we do. But in these cases, we want to work closely with the student’s primary educator to develop the best program for the student, to support their primary coursework.

How does billing work?

We require payment before sessions and before delivery of personalized documentation.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, you can, but only if services haven’t yet been rendered. There are no refunds on purchases of documentation, which could result in partial refunds of math package purchases.
